Holiday Celebration

Winter is the most wonderful time of the year. My family celebrates both Hanukkah and Christmas. For Hanukkah we do giving nights and getting nights. Giving nights are when we give to charities and getting nights are when we get presents. There are 8 days of Hanukkah with means 4 giving nights and 4 getting nights. Before that we sit by the Menorah and sing a song (accompanied by my dog’s howling), every night we add and an extra candle.

For Christmas my family host a friend and family celebration, where we exchange and open gifts. We sing Christmas songs and dance to them. This year we are in to the Pentatonix (link to newest song below), so we blast our favorite music. As we dance the moms bring out the desserts, my favorite! We have everything from Sugar Cookies to peppermint Brownies! Yum! My family has an Elf on the Shelf named William who comes December 1st through December 25th. Happy Holidays!    -Abby
